Simon Browne QC is a leading Queen’s Counsel practising out of London. The Law Directories (Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners UK) recommend him as a leader of the London Bar. Simon practises out of Temple Garden Chambers in the heart of the Temple with office and conference facilities overlooking Inner Temple Gardens and the River Thames. He also has a suite of offices in South West London, which some clients (particularly those who have flown into the UK) find more convenient rather than travelling into Central London.
Having been called in 1982, and appointed one of Her Majesty’s Counsel in 2011, Simon is based in London in full time practice but operates worldwide. For further information on his Practice please see Practice Areas.
Simon holds additional practising qualifications that may be of interest to certain professional and financial institutional clients; he is qualified as a Public Access Barrister and, unusually, is also qualified to conduct litigation, normally the preserve of solicitors. He is an Accredited Mediator, sits as a Chairman of Bar Disciplinary Tribunals and is a Bencher of the Middle Temple Inn of Court in London. At the invitation of the Master of the Rolls he sits on the Civil Justice Council.
Simon is also a member of the International Advocacy Academy.
Dean Norton, Senior Clerk to Simon, along with his team of clerks in Temple Garden Chambers, conducts administration of Simon’s Practice. For further information and for ways to instruct Simon please see the contact page.
